As Aplierj is a non-profit organization, the members of its Executive Board, Cultural Committee and Financial Committee are all volunteers who work for the good of the professional development of English teachers.

Teachers and university students

At present the official number of members is approxiamately 1,000 professionals, though most of them are not frequent members. They are from private and state schools, language centers and universities, and live in different regions of Rio de Janeiro state.
